If you recognise two or more of these symptoms, this guide is for you. Follow every step in order for best results.
Too many programs launching at startup is the #1 cause of slow boot times.
Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Startup tab → Disable anything you don't need at login.
Windows needs at least 15% free disk space to run efficiently.
If your C: drive is over 85% full, performance degrades significantly.
Malware and adware silently consume CPU and RAM in the background.
Even if you have antivirus, run a second-opinion scan with Malwarebytes Free.
If you have 4GB or less RAM, your computer will struggle with modern tasks.
Open Task Manager → Performance tab → Memory. If it shows over 85% usage at idle, you need more RAM.
Outdated drivers — especially GPU and storage drivers — cause serious slowdowns.
Windows Update handles most drivers, but GPU drivers need manual updates.
A CPU or GPU running too hot will throttle performance to prevent damage.
Download HWMonitor (free) to check your CPU temperature. Over 90°C at idle is dangerous.
